What do you think of the embryo sired by Jameson RS2 out of the full-sister to GLOCK’s Johnson TN! Or the embryo out of the 1.60m showjumping producing mare Virsinaa B, sired by Bustique? It doesn’t get more exciting, so take your change! The bidding starts Friday February 12th and the auction closes on Monday evening February 15th from 8.00PM.

From Dutch Champion to World Championships

The collection also involves 26 outstanding KWPN broodmares who are all genetically interesting and in foal to proven or very talented stallions. Like the Franklin daughter Madrugada D.Obertje. Her dam is the Dutch Champion D.Obertje (by San Remo), a half-sister to the KWPN Approved stallion Tango (by Jazz) and the Grand Prix horse Bonzanjo (by Jazz) of Diederik van Silfhout. Madrugada D.Obertje is in foal to the very talent full stallion So Perfect, one of the most famous sons of Sezuan! Marbella is the full-sister to the international horse Excellent, that participated in the World Dressage Breeding Championships for Young Horses as a five-year-old. Both are offspring of the expressive Grand Prix-horse Everdale. She is in foal to Painted Black son Ebony.

Half-sister approved stallion

As a half-sister to the KWPN approved stallion Gin Tonic (by Breezer), Laidy Avette is of excellent descent. She herself is a daughter of the prospect Daily Diamond, whose first offspring made a great impression, and she’s in foal to the young promising stallion Lowlands (by Millennium). Lowlands scored a 9 for his rideability and a 9.5 for his walk in the KWPN Performance Test! The great influence of preferent stallion Vivaldi (by Krack C) on breeding is no secret. His daughter Cieta-S have made quite an impression at the mare inspection where she received 90 points for her canter and 80 points for her walk, movement and posture. This year, Cieta-S expects a foal by the black eyecatcher, World Champion, Grand Prix-stallion and KWPN Horse of the Year 2020 Glamourdale!

Genetically interesting jumping mares
All broodmares are in foal to an interesting stallion and are genetically interesting themselves as well. Like the daughter of I’m Special de Muze, Jump Style VK, her great granddam is a full-sister to the world famous sports and breeding mare Ratina Z! For this year she expects a foal of Cumano Alpha Z. The mare Hestelle M jumped at 1.40m level herself and is a full-sister to the 1.40m horse Gestelle (by Toulon). In addition, she is the half-sister to the Grand Prix horse Cristello (by Numero Uno), the 1.55m horse Belle (by Numero Uno) and the 1.40m horse Inostello M (by Numero Uno). Gestelle is in foal to Gaillard de la Pomme, the stallion with a pure sports lineage.

Sports mares

No shortage of sports in this Happiness (by Zavall VDL), she performed at 1.35m level jumping and CCI2* eventing herself and her dam proved herself in the 1.40m classes. Happiness is currently in foal to the Belgian stallion Pegase van ‘t Ruytershof. This young stallion was crowned champion of the 2018 BWP Stallion Show and is now demonstrating his tremendous qualities in the ring. As a half-sister of the Grand Prix-horse Ailonka (by Tampa) of the English rider Jason Smith, Filonka is of excellent descent. This promising mare is in foal to the remarkable Grand Prix stallion Aganix Du Seigneur Z. The preferent stallion Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve, previously active at international 1.60m level, sires Diddlina Appel. Her pedigree continues with the influential sire Libero H who also performed at the highest level. The dam of Diddlina Appel stands at the basis of the international 1.50m horse Sterappel (by Kigali) and a international 1.45m Diddlina Appel expects a foal by Carrera VDL, a stallion that has Olympic blood running through his veins thanks to both his sire and grandsire.

Good mares are the starting point
The progressive breeder and the new generation of breeders, realizes that they have to start with good mares. The costs to raise a horse and have them trained are high, but whether you have a horse with normal quality in training or a horse with better quality, it doesn’t differ in costs. Besides this there are several KWPN-breeders that breed with proven dam lines but want to reduce due to their age or just because they have to many horses. How great is it if the KWPN can help these breeders with their sales!
