Last Friday, the FEI selected the 13-year-old KWPN stallion Desperado N.O.P. (Vivaldi out of Sarita elite pref prest D-OC by Havidoff, breeder family Andeweg from Randwijk) as 'FEI Horse of the Month'. The black stallion is currently 16th in the FEI world rankings after a successful 2019 with Dutch Grand-Prix rider Emmelie Scholtens.

The year 2019 contained many achievements for the combination including, a Team silver medal for the Netherlands at the European Championships and the win in the qualification competition in Mechelen with a personal record of 85%. In Mechelen the combination received high marks with a 10 for the walk.
