This last week, the selection committee, consisting of Floor Dröge, Monique Peutz, Johan Rockx and Johan Hamminga, had the difficult task to select the horses for the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden. At the National Equestrian Center in Ermelo they were able to select 18 delegates for the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden that will be held from 25 to 29 August.

The selection committee was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the horses. “From the first moment we had large groups of horses with good quality to choose from. In good consultation we have selected six horses for each age group. In the seven-year-olds class, we paid even more attention to the technical execution of the tests. At the World Championships, that is also assessed as the second component, therefore it is an important point. The vet has checked the horses and everything seems fine. At the beginning of August we will train one more time with the teams for that last bit of fine-tuning. We hope to keep all horses fit and healthy to achieve good results in Verden,” says Monique Peutz.
