Following Galanthos SHK, Beat Mändli also finished the course with Dsarie (s.Veron) sustaining one time penalty. This means the pair is not yet sure of qualification for the final.

It was a good ride by the Swiss seasoned rider on his Dsaire (sport-spr by Veron out of Tinette prest by Ahorn, bred by M. Smit in Dedemsvaart). The mare was playing with the fences and was never in any trouble. However, Mändli should have stepped up the pace, especially in the last line, to stay within the alotted time.

The thirteen-year-old mare has formed a combination with Beat Mändli since mid 2016. They secured many international wins, and the Olympic Games are the third global championships after the World Cup final of Göteborg and the Nations Cup final in 2019. At the moment, there are 12 clear combinations and the best 30 get to start in the individual final tomorrow. Four pairs received one time penalty.
