Marlon Zanotelli seemed well on his way with the scopey Arezzo VDL-son VDL Edgar M, yet incurred one jumping mistake. That results in no individual final.

It’s the first Olympic Games for the in Belgium located Brazilian Marlon Zanotelli and he saddled up his experienced VDL Edgar M (Arezzo VDL out of Aramee O.A. ster by Marlon, bred by E.M. Meijer of Den Ham), one of the three horses that directly come from the VDL Stud. Until last year, the Van de Lageweg family co-owned this gelding that comes out of the first crop of Arezzo VDL.

Four penalties make their chances for qualification for the individual final very slim. In the first part of the competition there were a lot of mistakes and refusals, now the better competitions are entering the ring, the number of clears also grow steadily. The best 30 combinations are up tomorrow for the individual final and by now 19 combinations have finished the course error-free. In a few moments, Willem Greve will be the first Dutch representative as number 52 (out of 73 starts) on his Zupria S N.O.P. (s.Canturo).
