It will be the first ride in Tokyo for the British rider Holly Smith and Denver (Memphis out of Toscin by Chico’s Boy, bred by Anton and Marleen Woertman), that replace Scott Brash and his mildly injured Hello Jefferson. Naturally, the honour of Great Britain will once again be defended by Olympic champion Ben Maher and Explosion W (Chacco-Blue out of Uarina ster sport-spr prest by Baloubet du Rouet, bred by Willy Wijnen from Berlicum). For Morocco, Ali Ahrach will be the first to start with KWPN-bred Golden Lady sport-spr (Cassini Gold out of Zeapostara D elite prest PROK by Cavalier, bred by De Huurne Stud in Wierden).
