Returning to the Al Shira’aa Bolesworth Young Horse Championships (18th -22nd August), the renowned foal and embryo auction offers a first-class line up of future stars, with seriously enviable pedigrees, proven offspring and highly coveted top performing dams. This year’s foal and embryo auction is the most attractive collection yet for buyers wishing to acquire an exquisite young sports horse for the future. The auction will take place live in the International Arena on Friday 20th August, bids are welcomed both in the room, online and by telephone.

With a strong emphasis on the dam line, these Lots have been carefully selected by the team based on their incredible amount of depth in their bloodlines, as well as having close relations to 1.60m horses, or performing at the highest level in their own right. These are ‘money can’t buy’ Black Type dam lines, coupled alongside the world’s greatest and highly sought-after sires, offering a truly unique opportunity to acquire a foal or embryo from one of showjumping’s most coveted bloodlines. Just one of the Lots which embodies this is Arkola, by the legendary Arko III and out of the highly anticipated prolific Nations Cup & World Cup performer of Lauren Hough, Ohlala, this athletic colt has incredible showjumping blood and promises all the scope and athleticism of his parentage.

Legendary stallion
The collection also offers two exclusive chances to purchase a foal out of top mare and former ride of Michael Whitaker, the outstanding Wild Rose. The selection includes a promising filly, Wild Flower HF, by legendary stallion Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve and Wild Life, a stunning colt by Olympic Individual Gold Medallist, Big Star. If top performance wasn’t enough in a dam, Wild Rose is also uterine sister to many successful athletes including former 1.60m ride of Ben Maher Drop Shot, 1.40m performer Giga Dance and successful showjumper turned eventer stallion, Cadillac posting results up to CIC3* level with Izzy Taylor.

Highly enviable blood line
Further stand out Lots include exciting bay colt JeTaime Serenade, a real head turner out of one of the world’s most competitive showjumping mares, Billy Twomey’s Tinka Serenade. With a record that speaks volumes boasting Olympic Games, World Cup Finals and World Equestrian Games, this is a highly enviable blood line, combined with an equally impressive sire also campaigned by Billy Twomey, Je T’aime Flamenco, with proven offspring at 1.60m level. Another highlight Lot featuring a top performing dam is Lady du Ruisseau Z, by Chat Botte Du Ruisseau Z, out of top mare of Billy Twomey’s Lady Lou by the global superstar Lord Z, bringing a star studded family tree and a level of talent that is sure to be passed onto her offspring.

Top performance
The strength of the damlines is a common theme across the board with direct relations to some of the best performers on the globe. One prospect offering such a lineage is bay colt by Conthargos, Carrickview Domination, out of the dam Diamond Seeker Z, full sister to the renowned sire and CSI5* winner under Christian Ahlmann, Dominator Z. Providing a rare opportunity to purchase a strong colt out of a highly consistent dam, is Cabago WY Z, out of Whoopie C,a Grand Prix mare herself who is the dam of CSI 5* Winner in Florida this year, licensed stallion Tobago Z. These highly desirable bloodlines ensure the optimum potential to deliver top performance, athleticism, scope and ability in their offspring, ensuring that they are destined for elite sport in the future.

Explosion W
The collection continues to deliver on all levels with close CSI5* relations, including Chacco Beech II Z, a striking Chacco Blue colt, sharing the same sire as prolific winner and Individual Gold Medal Winning Champion Explosion W, out of Goya, uterine sister to four 1.60m performers including Ben Maher’s CSI 5* Winner, Cella.
