In a rapid pace the KWPN-bred Kaatje AD (s.Emir) and Richard Howly soared into second in the today’s WC qualifier for six-year-olds, in which eleven KWPN-horses remained clear.

Out of 256 six-year-olds, 71 horses stayed clear today. The best result in this 1.30m-course was from Cadiz Z (s.Corydon van T&L) with Emily Sage, just ahead of Emir R-daughter Kaatje AD (out of Hula des Bruyeres by Papillon Rouge, bred by Aniek Diks). The 2021 Blom Cup champion also cleared the course in a swift manner. After an unlucky rail at breathtaking pace in yesterday’s first round, Bas Moerings placed fourth today with his incredibly careful Kwik Tweet sport-spr (For Pleasure out of Twitter Z by Twisther, bred and owned by Geert Moerings). The third KWPN-horse that obtained a top placement (11th) in the second qualifier is the Bubalu VDL-offspring Kelton VDL (out of Gina ster by Corland, owned and bred by VDL Stud) ridden by James Billington.

Find today’s results here. The finalists are published as soon as possible.
