Harness horse stallion Aquarel placed second in Grand Prix dressage Balve
The KWPN approved Harness horse stallion Aquarel (by Unieko) made his Grand Prix debut with the German rider Susanne Szeltner at the beginning of June. The test was awarded with 64.64% and a second place.
The sixteen-year-old Aquarel (out of Petra ster preferent by Koblenz, bred by H.H.J. Tonnaer from Ysselsteyn) was approved by the KWPN in 2008. The chestnut has been competing in dressage for eight years now. The owner, Suzanne Szeltner, talks about Aquarel: “When Aquarel was seven years old, I saw him in Martin de Groot's stable for the first time. Aquarel immediately caught my eye, he had good movements in trot, but he had no experience as a riding horse at that time." The duo started working with her trainer and started a career in dressage sport.
Susanne has trained Aquarel to the highest level in dressage, the Grand Prix. Susanne: “He has enormous ambition and learns very quickly. Combined with a lot of patience, we have found our way.” The duo plans to travel to the Equestrian Center Exloo to compete in the international Grand Prix in October.
