The M-class of the Blom Stallion Competition at the Peelbergen Equestrian Centre was drenched with quality. Six KWPN-approved stallions kept a clean slate in both rounds.

In the ten-man jump-off it was Lennard de Boer aboard For Pleasure-offspring For Friendship VDL that performed the winning round. He thereby put the scopey KWPN-approved stallion La Costa ES (Mosito van het Hellehof out of Isolde ES elite sport-spr PROK by Cumano) of breeder Egbert Schep ridden by Gerd Jan Horsmans to the second position. The stallion impressed with his power, scope and canter. “The best must win so for now it is fine to place second”, says the always motivated Horsmans. “La Costa ES is a wonderful horse and after the World Championship in Lanaken he is used to higher jumps. He got some rest afterwards, two weeks ago I competed in an indoor show for the first time again and now he is doing great. In the last line I opted, in hindsight, for one stride too many but this second place is a good start.”

Lambrusco

The to the KWPN Performance Test appointed Entertainer-son Lambrusco (out of Total Touch stb-ext pref prest by Lux) jumped with his breeder Pieter Keunen to the third place. His other trump card of Stal Hendrix, the remarkable jumper Lambada Shake AG (Aganix du Seigneur out of Grappa AG by Spartacus, bred by Alex Gisbertz) turned his error-free rides into a fifth place. Just behind the sharp, careful Lingo van de Watermolen (Connect out of Happy Wiggy stb by Carambole of breeder Jan Greve) ridden by Steven Veldhuis.
