Eight jumper stallions added via after inspection
This morning the after inspection for the jumper stallions took place in Ermelo and eight stallions were invited to the second-round viewing, which brings the total to 87 jumper stallions.
During the after inspection, sons of Pegase van ‘t Ruytershof, Arezzo VDL, Jardonnay VDL and Luigi d’Eclipse obtained a ticket to the second phase in February. United Touch S even had two sons that received the green light. “We have certainly added another group of interesting stallions to the collection for the next round, without having real outliers today”, responds chairman of the committee Cor Loeffen. “On the hard surface, we had to make various comments on the foundation, especially with regards to the feet, and to topline. This prevented some stallions from receiving an invitation to the second-round viewing. In general, the stallions made a positive impression in the free jumping.”
Good first impression
In the second-round viewing, all the pluses and minuses of the selected stallions are under review once again and will be taken under consideration. “We have a good starting point with 87 selected stallions. In the first-round viewing we got a good first impression and we take all our findings into the next round. When they show the same minuses again, we let that weigh more after two observations. Generally speaking, we have a good feeling about the selected stallions and the group includes quite a few stallions that descend from good damlines, that’s always a big plus.”
In the afternoon, the after test for dressage stallions is concluded. All can be followed live via KWPN.tv.
