Today, the delivery of the stallions for the autumn performance test took place and 39 jumper and dressage stallions moved into their stable at the KWPN center in Ermelo.

All 21 submitted three-year-old jumper stallions were declared trainable and received the OK from the veterinarian. The 4 four-year-old jumper stallions that were presented also moved in a stable. This brings the total to 25 jumper stallions that start their performance test. “The stallions were each found to be well-trainable,” says Cor Loeffen, chairman of the performance test jumping. “They were presented by their own rider and made a few jumps from trot and canter. Then, they were examined by the veterinarian and accepted. We are happy so many jumper stallions were submitted. It is a varied group in terms of pedigree and conformation. The horses were delivered in good shape and will all do the 21-day test. The first evaluation takes place this Tuesday.”

Dressage stallions

Out of the 20 submitted dressage stallions, 14 three-year-old stallions received the green light. The three-year-old stallions Navarone D (s.Finest Selection), Navajo Indiana Jones BK (s.For Ferrero), Nyandro JZ (s.Geniaal) and four-year-old stallions Monsieur-Utopia (s.Expression), Masterpiece (s.Vitalis) and Serfaus (s.Schwarzgold) have not moved into a stable in Ermelo after the findings of the stallion selection committee or veterinarian. “In general, the stallions were rideable and trainable,” explains Bert Rutten, chairman of the stallion selection committee dressage. “The horses moved uphill and showed the movements we are looking for. The coming 21 days will give us more information. The first assessment takes place this Monday.”

Due to the corona measurements, the delivery was not open to the public. The final presentation on January 18 will be broadcasted via a livestream. More information about the participating stallions can be found in the mediaguide
