This afternoon, during the first-round viewing Harness stallions in Ermelo, the gold KWPN-pin was awarded to Reinier van de Water. On behalf of the General Management, board member René van Klooster bestowed this pin upon the parting judge. 

Reinier van de Water held the KWPN-jury position Harness Horses for many years. At the end of last year, he announced to resign his position to make room for young people. This year, Reinier turns 70. On behalf of the board, Klooster expressed the gratitude and appreciation for all the time and energy Van de Water devoted to his task. Van de Water thanked the management for this much-appreciated gesture and explained how he enjoyed his work in the ring all these years.

Lane-lineage

Reinier van de Water has been a passionate breeder of harness horses his entire life, he is registered as the breeder of almost 70 horses. He was known as the breeder with his own lineage, the Lane-line. He has always remained loyal to his lineage. Reinier was not shy off different blood. A well-known homebred horse of Reinier van de Water is the national mare Gelane elite PROK (s.Cizandro) that obtained 60 winning points. Her full brother Hebulanes acquired 86 winning points. Both horses were performing at the competition field at approximately the same time, allowing harness horse enthusiasts to closely follow his breeding products.
