After winning the highest attainable, individual Olympic gold, it was an award that seemed only fitting. Willy Wijnen’s breeding product was declared Horse of the Year during the KWPN Stallion Selection.

Willy Wijnen was present in the studio for the award ceremony of the title Jumping Horse of the Year, powered by Horses2Fly. “It is fantastic what Explosion has achieved”, says the proud breeder about the Chacco-Blue-son Explosion W (out of Uarina ster sport-spr prest by Baloubet du Rouet). As proud breeder, Willy followed all his great adventures closely and he enjoys world-wide fame, primarily because of this legendary horse. “Explosion has an incredible number of supporters and I consider it a great honour he was born in my stables, out of a lineage I breed with for generations. He is such an athletic horse and has a ture winner’s mentality, that is deeply embedded in this damline.” Together with Ben Maher, Explosion W compiled an outstanding list of achievements so far and as of today, he gets to add another prestigious title.
