Nine fine mares were invited to the National Mare Championship final in the breeding direction jumping. The national foal champion of 2019, O’Dame VDL (s.Etoulon VDL) won the title.

O’Dame VDL (Etoulon VDL out of Grande Dame VDL keur IBOP-spr pref by Brugal VDL, bred and ownerd by VDL Stud) was declared champion by the judges Wim Versteeg, Henk van den Broek and Marcel Beukers. “A mare with a strong model that canters with abundant balance. We see that back in jumping. After she lands, she immediately regains her balance and canters on. She is careful, shows overview and possesses athletic ability. Her performance was moreover very consistent”, says Wim Versteeg. 

Okeechobee TCS vice-champion
In the second place we find the Chacoon Blue-daughter Okeechobee TCS (out of Cor de la Crow Z by Crown Z) of breeders Tim and Leida Collins-Strijk and Egbert Schep. She jumped towards 90 points at the mare inspection and convinced the jury once again today. The third step on the podium was claimed by another VDL Stud mare: Ojatendrie VDL (Cohinoor VDL out of Jatendrie VDL by Cardento), bred out of the damline of the KWPN-approved stallion Impressive VDL.
