Glamourdale and Hermès return to WC-grounds of Ermelo
The KWPN stallions Glamourdale and Hermès played a leading role at the prestigious world championships in Herning. The black powerhouse Glamourdale left the WC with two gold medals and together with Charlotte Fry, the stallion made a valuable contribution to Great Britain’s team silver. It was also a successful championship for Hermès and the Dutch Dinja van Liere, the duo took two bronze medals homewards.
What made this accomplishment even more remarkable was that the stallions obtained the exact same result at the WC for Young Dressage Horses a few years ago. Then-seven-year-old Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale out of Thuja pref by Negro, breeder J.W. Rodenburg of Ouderkerk aan den IJssel) won gold in his age category and Hermès also swooped into the third step of the podium for six-year-olds back then. This evidences that the WC is the perfect steppingstone toward the international Grand Prix.
Back in Ermelo
During the WC Young Dressage Horses, which is held from the 8th until the 11th of September in Ermelo, these amazing stallions are honoured. On Saturday, both KWPN stallions return to the WC-site where they obtained medals in the same colours four years ago. Keep an eye on the program for the exact time these stallions make their appearance.
