Blom Cup: 61 five-year-olds clear their first round
The five-year-old jumper horses have just finished their first round of the KWPN Championship Blom Cup in the sand arena. 61 of them completed the course flawlessly.
Except for two duos that got eliminated today, all 103 participants may compete in the second round. That second manche takes place in the main arena and starts at 09.30hrs tomorrow.

The list of today’s clear combinations includes several KWPN-approved stallions. Jarno van Erp piloted the Aganix du Seigneur-son Mindset ES (out of Hosanne ES keur sport-spr by Kannan, bred by and registered to Egbert Schep) to a pristine result and Maestro Gusto van de Laarse Heide (Comme Il Faut out of Bella Donna van de Laarse Heide Z keur sport-spr by Bustique, bred by and registered to Family Zandbergen of Zundert) with Nikita Cheung, Horizontal (Casall out of Mel d’Argences by Quick Star, breeder Jan Tops of Valkenswaard) with Finn Boerekamp, Stargos VDL (Stakkato Gold out of Estella by Conthargos, bred by W. Winkeler ofHerzlake) ridden by Iris Hakvoort and Mees van de Watermolen (Vannan out of Holinda ster byCarambole, f/g Jan Greve of Haaksbergen) presented by Renske Kroeze also held on to the zero in the first round. Another name that immediately catches the eye is Mette VDL (Etoulon VDL out of Fresia van Olivia VDL by Cardento, bred by and registered to VDL Stud), ridden by Age Flapper she also produced a clear round. Two years ago, this mare was announced champion of the National Mare Championships.
