WC Ermelo: Maddox Mart shines in small final
The small final for five-year-old horses was won by Maddox Mart today, thereby securing a spot in the Sunday’s final where he may defend the KWPN alongside My Precious and Mauro Turfhorst.
On behalf of the jury, Maria Schwennesen of Australia lauded the black stallion with the following words: “This horse is a pleasure to ride. His trot showed balance, elasticity, and was always uphill. His walk was pure, correct and with good over track. The canter was simply super and again uphill. He seemed to be obedient, resigned and waited for the aids of his rider.” Maddox Mart (Hennessy out of Fanirma elite s.Bordeaux) scored 7.72 on average in the qualification, today he was rewarded with 8.72 points. The KWPN-approved stallion is bred by Lia van Baalen of Gellicum and is currently ridden by the Swedish Jessica Lynn Thomas.
