Today, the six-year-old horses made their first appearance in Ermelo. Las Vegas was the third horse on the entry list and right away set the bar high. A 10 for the canter ensured a second position. Lord Platinum and Lennox US also advance to the final, thanks to a fourth and fifth position, respectively. Kirsten Brouwer added her Lightning Star to that list, as the two scored a total of 8,28 and claimed the eleventh place.

The KWPN-stallion Las Vegas never fails to impress. Emmelie Scholtens presented him in a very light-footed manner, with lots of self-carriage in the extended parts of the test. His enormous canter is a sight to behold and was awarded a 10. The Ferdaux-offspring (out of Dalia Delin ster PROK by Wynton, bred by J. Deenen of Heijen) furthermore received a 9.8 for the trot, a 9.5 for submission and a 9 for perspective to make a total of 94.20%. Jeanna Hogberg and Hesselhøj Down Town were the only ones to best them at 94.6%.

Sympathetic performance

Lord Platinum gave his all and was the epitome of harmony. Fransisco Benitez Sanchez put up a very sympathetic performance aboard his Ferguson-son (out of How Pretty Platinum ster by Bretton Woods, breeder Titan Wilaras of Riel). The absolute highlight was the walk, which was awarded a 9.8 and led to a total of 88.2%.

The enchanting Lennox U.S. (Grand Galaxy Win out of Herarona elite pref IBOP-dres D-OC by Rousseau, bred by B. Wilschit of Bosschenhoofd) drew attention with his enormous canter. The jury valued that gait at a 9.2. The light-footed and elastic stallion was presented by Jill Bogers. A 9 for perspective brought the total to 86.8%, the fifth position.

Lightning Star

Kirsten Brouwer had a stroke of bad luck as it started pouring right before her test aboard Lightning Star (Ferguson out of Daily Enjoy elite pref IBOP-dres sport-dres PROK by De Niro, breeder Titan Wilaras of Riel). The umbrellas were clearly a distraction to the sharp mare, but Brouwers skillfully guided her to a good result. The trot was rewarded with an 8.8 , the perspective received an 8.5 and the total score of 82.8% secured them an eleventh position, and therefore a place in the final.

To small final

Sabine Schut-Kery presented Gorgeous Latino (Glock’s Toto Jr out of Blackmanda ster IBOP-dres by Rubiquil, bred by Stal Hexagon). The black stallion received an 8.8 for his walk, an 8.1 for submission an 8.0 for perspective to make a total of 8.14. The result was a 14th position. Hexagon’s Luxuriouzz (Johnson out of Walida v/d Waalsehoeve elite IBOP-dres PROK by San Remo, bred by W. Plomp of Tull en ‘t Waal) is an appealing chestnut with a great presence. Ridden by Benedek Pachel he received an 8.3 for trot and 8.2 for the perspective, the final score was 79.2%.

Elegant appearance

Lowy-Tar (Galandro out of Wy-Olivia-Tar by Olivi, breeder H. Klaver of Hoornsterzwaag) is an elegant appearance but was visibly overwhelmed by his surroundings. He was presented by the Hungarian rider Csenga Kata Patik, His best gait, the walk, was valued at an 8.4. The tension influenced the contact and performance to bring the score down to 7.80%.

Adelinde Cornelissen had probably envisioned a different start with the talented Luqiedo (Aqiedo out of Dimanche ster IBOP PROK by Stedinger, breeder Aris van Manen), too. The stallion was so stunned by the arena, the combination was not able to start within the time limit.
