KWPN stallion Hemmingway passed away at age of 33
The KWPN stallion Hemmingway (Leandro out of Marle by Romantiker) has passed away in Ireland at the age of 33, as is announced by owner Ben Wentink. The stallion made a distinct contribution to jumper breeding although we frequently see this stallion in the pedigree of many dressage horses, too.
Hemmingway was born on the 29th of March 1989 in the stables of breeder S. Dieter in Beschendorf. At three years of age, he got approved by the KWPN and he received 9s for his character and training report. The stallion participated in the World Breeding Jumping Championship for Young Horses twice before competing at 1.40m level. For years, Hemmingway stood at stud at Stal Hendrix and for the last 14 years he resided at Scotland AI Service, where he was also active as a breeding stallion.
