Entering first in a jump-off of 18 contestants, Jarno van Erp delivered a top performance aboard KWPN stallion Mindset ES. The Aganix du Seigneur-son can be rightfully called a clear-round-machine as he deservedly snagged the bronze.

Egbert Schep could come forward as the breeder and owner for the prize giving ceremony of the medalists. Jarno van Erp was the first to start in the jump-off and performed, for the second time today, a textbook round aboard his scopey, sharp KWPN-approved stallion Mindet ES (Aganix du Seigneur out of Hosanna ES keur pref sport-spr by Kannan). “I have taken over the reins last year and he is always there for me. Mindset is incredibly clever and is so cooperative. It is fantastic to see such a conclusion to our season!”, responds Jarno van Erp. The gold was seized by Gerard O’Neill and the Irish bred BP Goodfellas (s.Stakkato Gold) ahead of the Dutch Olivier van der Vaart in silver with Ristretto van de Heffinck (s.Aldo du Plessis). 

Handstand

Thalessa de Jong directed the Carrera VDL-daughter Moncler (out of Zingaro L sport-spr by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve, breeder A.A. Landa of Hoogerheide) to her fourth 0-penalty-result this championship and obtained a respectable place in the top-10. “This horse is a clear-round-machine and is naturally quick, I believe she is going to be a special one”, tells her rider. Four out of nine KWPN horses qualified for the jump-off, including the extreme jumper Madness (Kannan out of Miss Emerald by Emerald van ‘t Ruytershof, breeder J.C.M. van Kessel of Heeswijk-Dinther) ridden by Hannes Ahlmann. At fence two his handstand was so powerful that the rider could not sit him out and landed with his feet in the sand.
