During the delivery of the stallions for the autumn performance test of 2022 on Monday, sixteen jumper and twelve dressage stallions received the green light to move into a stable at the KWPN Centre.

Thirteen submitted three-year-old jumper stallions were found trainable and were accepted by a veterinarian. The two four-year-olds and one six-year-old jumper stallion that were appointed to the performance test after their performance in the Blom Cup were also accepted. That brings the total to sixteen jumper stallions that may start their performance tet. The stallion selection committee jumping seemed satisfied: “The jumper stallions were presented by their rider for the second time today and they made a few jumps. The horses showed good rideability and were all deemed trainable by us. The horses have been delivered in good condition and will partake in the 21-day test. This week they are ridden by our riders and the first evaluation is scheduled for next Tuesday. The final exam takes place on November 21”, explains Henk Dirksen.

Dressage stallions

Out of thirteen appointed dressage stallions, eleven stallions were given the green light. Two three-year-old horses were referred to the spring performance test. The stables now house eleven three-year-old stallions and the five-year-old Hexagons Gorgeous Black Art (s.Glock’s Toto Jr.). Three-year-old Olé Guapo (Vivaldi out of Joyrider elite IBOP-dres PROK by Apache, breeder M.H.J. Gotink of Warnsveld) is accepted based on the voluntary participation in the performance test and will also enter the 21-day test. “New this year is that the dressage horses have three presentation moments, today’s effort is also seen as a selection moment. The stallions were assessed on rideability and quality today and were also inspected on the hard surface to get a complete image. We really liked this new set-up”, says Floor Dröge. November 19 is the date on which the final exam for the dressage horses is organised.
