It’s Friday and the clock has struck ten, and that means you can now place your bids in the KWPN Online Broodmare & Embryo Auction. Be quick, on Monday November 21, this sixth online broodmare auction comes to an end. The collection, composed of 25 mares and 4 interesting embryos, offers you the perfect opportunity to boost your breeding programme. 

The pregnant broodmares expect both foals by proven sires and rising stars. The dressage mares are in foal to Glamourdale, My Blue Hors Santiano, Extreme U.S., Kjento and McLaren. The jumper mares expect foals by Notting Hill, Poker de Mariposa, Hardrock Z, Denzel van het Meulenhof and Dallas VDL. 

Embryos related to Grand Prix mares

From November 18 through 21, there are also four embryos up for grabs. In addition to sought-after sires, all embryos are related to Grand Prix mares. The fourth dam of the Aganix du Seigneur Z-embryo is the renowned Grand Prix mare Walnut de Muze, that had a long-standing successful career under Harrie Smolders and produced Carrera de Muze and multiple other 1.50m/1.60m horses. In this collection, Nevados S sires an embryo out of the Dominator Z-daughter Domintona BB ZZ, she represents a special dam line as the granddaughter of Jody Bosteels’ Grand Prix mare Daytona de Muze. Being offspring of the genetically valuable Chacco Blue, the other two embryos are also of exceptional origin. One of these embryos lists Explosion’s half-sister Zarina III (s.Heartbreaker) as its dam. 

Performance genes

Performance genes are present in great abundance in this KWPN Online Broodmare & Foal Auction. The pedigree of Easyrena MB combines the proven Grand Prix sport and breeding stallions Berlin and Almox Prints J, while she is in foal to the Olympic Hardrock for 2023. First Lady, in foal to Poker de Mariposa, is a full sister of the KWPN-approved stallion Envoy, that made a promising start in the show ring with Dave Maarse. Gentiane HBC is a half-sister of the international 1.45m jumper Daytona (s.Dantos HBC) and Goddess Taonga’s pedigree pairs the champion stallion Boss to a Hanoverian dam line. This lineage also yielded the 1.55m ranked Mersley Chakotay (s.Mersley Mon Capatain). Katinka is a fusion of the highly regarded blood of World Cup winner and top progenitor Libero H on the maternal side and her dam Nibero produced the KWPN approved stallion Sterrehof’s Great Blue (s.Plot-Blue) that is active at international 1.40m/1.45m level. 

Dressage blood

The mares Elina L, Gigola, Lylou, Kalima-Ceroon and Isarousse A.S.D. all passed their mare test with top scores when they were younger. Performance is passed on, as is proven by Isarousse A.S.D. Her oldest offspring also obtained her ster predicate with 85 points for her trot. Talent is equally embedded in the mare Eval, a daughter of the ZZ-Zwaar dressage mare Parcival and a half-sister of the ZZ-Zwaar horses Ginval (s.Ziësto) and Kensington (s.Everdale). The direct dam line of Fadorijke T produced successful horses such as the national Grand Prix horse Apart (s.Florencio) and the Small Tour horses Divident L (s.Special D), Alibi (s.Ferro) and Oronijke (s.Jazz). The eight-year-old elite mare Jubjube Ginia van Kairos is an offspring of the Grand Prix sport and breeding stallion Uphill and represents a renowned dressage family on her mother’s side. The pedigree of Lylou successively features three mares that all competed at Z2 or ZZ-Licht level and the five-year-old Marnieta B is a descendant of a versatile sports lineage as a half-sister of the ZZ-Licht dressage horse Canieta B (s.Westpoint). Operette is bred out of a half-sister of the successful international Grand Prix horse Vradin (s.Gribaldi) of Simon Missiaen and J2L Princess Diary boasts an originally Hanoverian dam line that produced both successful dressage and jumper horses.
