That breeding direction also takes the next slot as ten harness stallions, sired by Lanto HBC, Cizandro, Heliotroop VDM, Hubert VDM, Icellie, Idol and Indiana, enter the cage for their second round viewing. The presentation of the appointed dressage and harness stallion is scheduled right after this second round viewing. Followed by the award ceremony of the premium stallions.

Youth Day

Parallel to the programme in the main arena, the vendor village hosts the very first edition of the KWPN Youth Day. The theme is ‘The switch from pony to KWPN horse’. Monique Peutz, national coach of the youth, kicks the afternoon off with an explanation what a switch from a pony to a KWPN horse entails. Guided by Monique, pony rider Sterre Slosser, Children riders Isabella Karajkovic and Brit Kikkert, Grand Prix rider Thalia Rockx and Paardenpraat.TV star Esra de ruiter enter the arena in the saddles of their trusted companions to talk about their passion for horses. The hour full of interesting information is followed by a scavenger hunt through the vendor village, that allows the youngsters to fill a goodie bag through fun assignments. They even have a chance at winning a meet& greet with the one and only YouTube star Esra de Ruiter.

Oregon Trophy

For the 25th time, the Oregon Trophy kicks off around 16.30hrs. The thrilling battle for this coveted prize features KWPN-approved harness horse stallions that are cheered on by an enthusiastic and passionate crowd. It will be a clash of five titans, all of which have their own qualities. The seasoned riders will give their all to take the prestigious win and know like no other how to present their top athletes.

Spectacular shows

After the Oregon Trophy, six approved KFPS champion stallions will light up the arena in ‘The black pearls of the Friesian Studbook’. It promises to be a spectacular show you don’t want to miss! We are then treated to a fantastic performance of the one and only Britt Dekker and her Spanish grey stallion George. She is joined by Renate van Uytert-Van Vliet aboard her KWPN-approved Johnny Depp as the two ladies are guided by the mysterious ‘Masked Trainer’.

Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition Dressage

At 18.20hrs the battle for the Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competiton Dressage erupts. There is only one certainty: Lowlands of Iron Spring Darm ridden by Dinja van Liere may step forward as the winner in the Z-class, as he is the only stallion that participated in all three selection competitions. The same rider holds multiple aces in the M-class and is currently in the lead aboard the willing, light-footed McLaren. He won both the competition of Kronenberg and Exloo, obtaining quite a few nines, and placed second in Ermelo behind the athletic, uphill Pavo Cup winner My Blue Hors Santiano. Ridden by Renate van Uytert-Van Vliet, this stallion is the runner-up in the current standings, the gap towards McLaren is over one point. The L-class has proved to be another hotly contested competition. Thanks to the victories in Kronenberg and Ermelo, the uphill and willing Dark Rousseau and Kim Alten are currently in the lead. Although the rise of the impressive Nalegro and Charlotte Fry is equally remarkable.

Stallion Show champions return to Den Bosch

The champions of the KWPN Stallion Show of 2007 and 2016 Blue Hors Zack and Indian Rock return to the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch tonight. Ridden by Nanna Merrald Rasmussen and Emmelie Scholtens, the WC-stallions present themselves in a spectacular show. The perfect conclusion to the KWPN Stallion Show 2023!
