Every year, the KWPN Select Sale offers the finest second-round viewing stallions. Grand Prix horses Blue Hors Zack and Hartsuijker prove that the KSS is the perfect place to search for young talent. During the exam of the performance test at the KWPN centre in Ermelo last Saturday, no less than three former KSS stallions were granted their KWPN approval. 

Earlier this year, Irish rider Denis Lynch of Parco Sport Horses of Schaan seized his chance in the KWPN Online Select Sale and purchased two now KWPN-approved stallions. One of them was the premium stallion Prophet (previously Popino-Larus) (Gaspahr out of Tina-Laris stb prest PROK by Voltaire, bred by Jan Hoppenbrouwers of Weert), that emerged as the top scorer of the three-year-old jumper stallions last Saturday. Obtaining a 9 for his canter and 8,5 for all other jumping aspects, he soared to 86 points in total.

Plato

The top rider also placed the highest bid on Panenka de Kalvarie-offspring Plato (Previously Piqué) (out of Haya PB ster by Vigo d’Arsouilles, bred by Stal Brinkman). This appealing chestnut stallion also convinced the stallion selection committee of his qualities and therefore earned a breeding license. The stallion received 8s on all jumping aspects and received 79 points in total.

Pontiac

The striking chesnut stallion Pontiac (Glock’s Total US out of Velvet V.D.T. elite pref prest D-OC by Ferro, bred by Ad van de Tillaart) impressed the stallion selection committee dressage. Following the KWPN Select Sale, the stallion is now registered in the name of Nikay van Duren and Grand Prix rider Diederik van Silfhout. He eared 8s for his trot, canter, posture and balance, suppleness, and perspective as a dressage horse and even a 9 for his rideability and trainability. Consequently, Pontiac is now KWPN-approved stallion.
