Last night the auction of the jumper foals in the second edition of the KWPN Online Foal Auctions 2017 closed. Most expensive foal was Mikabantos, a foal by Kannan out of a dam that jumped Grands Prix herself. The bidding stopped at 9000 euro. 

After the successful auctions a few weeks ago, yesterday the prices for the jumper foals went up a bit. A total of 38 foals come under the virtual hammer and some of them made a good price. The Kannan-son Mikabantos fetched 9000 euro, a top-price for this auction. He is out of the elite-mare Sirabanta by Animo. She jumped 1.60m grand prix ridden by Karim ElZogbhy. Mikabantos was bred by E. Kuijer from Dwingeloo. 

7500 Euro was the price a Italian was willing to pay for the filly foal My Sinaa, a daughter of Glasgow van ’t Merelsnest out of Charming Sinaa elite IBOP PROK by Quidam de Revel. She was bred by J. Lutke Willink from Geesteren. Another 6500 euro was offered for Magic, who is bred by H.P. Mellema uit Winschoten. He is a son of Chapeau TN out of Excellent RV ster PROK by Warrant. Another five foals went for a sum of 5000 euro or higher.  

This made an average price of 3965 euro (4428 for the foals that really were sold. A total of 7 foals went to buyers from countries like Germany, Denmark and Venezuela. The rest went to mainly top performance yards in the Netherlands.

Today, the dressage foals will be auctioned, together with the Gelder foal, the Harness horse foal and the covering of Glock’s Toto jr, of which the revenue goes to the DVB foundation.
