KSS: 90.000 for topseller Kallas H2 in realistic jumper stallions auction
The KSS an average of almost 25.000 euro and a topseller of 90.000 euro. Auctioneer Frederik de Backer received the most bids on the wildcard catalogue number 100 Kallas H2 (Dallas VDL x Quality Time), that was purchased by a Dutch client.
The five appointed stallions opened the eighteenth edition of the KWPN Select Sale, after the much-discussed opening lot for charity ‘Spieren voor Spieren’. The saddle of De Sjiem and showjumper Jeroen Dubbeldam together with a SeBo saddle rack were bought for 4.500 euro by Jos Althuyzen.
Auction top seller Kallas H2 was the first to enter the arena and the bidding war ended at 90.000 euro for the remarkable jumper sired by Dallas VDL. The appointed stallion Kaiden GPH (Chaman x Crawford) yielded 37.000 euro for owner Rinus Blom, while his appointed breeding product Kingsbury B (Glenfiddich VDL x Indoctro) was procured by Geerink Stables and Enterbrook stud for 25.000 euro.
The remarkably well-modelled Air Jordan-son Kentucky GP (ds.Corland) moved for 42.000 euro but remains in the Netherlands. King Salvador, and offspring of El Salvador and the full sister to Unaniem, departs for 34.000 euro to Ukraine.
The second- and third-round-viewing stallions were sold for prices in conformity to the market. The powerhouse Kathmandu (Kannan x Numero Uno) leaves to Germany for 30.000 euro. A Dutch buyer paid 26.000 euro for the outstanding Farfan M-son Kassian II, while the Cardento-descendant Kingston will travel to Iran for 24.000 euro. The Iranian buyer also bought the Cidane-offspring Koos for 14.000 euro. The Etoulon VDL-son Kentucky remains within the national borders for 20.000 euro, as well as the Verdi-offspring Kathmandu, that was sold for 25.000 euro.
