The by Cees Backx bred Jazz-offspring Kibo was last night's topseller for 75.000 euro in the dressage edition of the KWPN Select Sale. Stoeterij Broere bought the remarkable stallion out of a dam of Totilas, preserving the stallion for Dutch breeding. The price of the in total nineteen auctioned dressage-stallion, averaged almost 35.000 euro.

In addition to Kibo, the sensational Klasie (El Capone x Krack C) also yielded a great price. Auctioneer Frederik de Backer saw the electrical chestnut leave for the United States for 60.000 euro. The stallion will go in training at Stal Laarakkers. Desperado-offspring Kavallo let the hammer fall at 56.000 euro, while Ferguson-son Knappe Jonge will cross the pond to the USA for 50.000 euro.

Preserved for the Netherlands

Furthermore, various stallions will move to stables in Sweden, Russia, Scotland and Belgium, while the genetically outstanding Kratos de Jeu (s.H-Ekwador) remains in the Netherlands for 32.000 euro. The Ferdeaux-son Krack E, that made it to the second-round viewing, stopped the bidding at 46.000 euro. The auctioneer dropped the hammer at 40.000 euro for appointed stallion Kwadrate (Ebony x Dreamcather) and second-round viewing stallion (Governor x Flemmingh).
