Wereldbekerfinale: Verdades just in second
It was pretty nerv wrecking in Paris! After a superb Grand Prix, Verdades (s.Florett As) bred by the Crum family from Herveld could not keep his leading position in the freestyle. It was the Queen of Dressage, who completely fulfilled her role as favorite. With the Oldenburg registered Weihegold OLD (s.Don Schufro), Isabell Werth exceeded the magical limit of 90 percent and could take the World Cup back home.
With a high level of difficulty, Verdades (Florett As from Liwilarda ster perst by Goya), ridden by Laura Graves, came to 89.08 percent and with that the American rider improved her personal record. The title escaped her with a difference of about one and a half percent.
Jessica von Bredow-Werndl could hardly believe that she could hold on to her third position of the Grand Prix. Unee BB showed where his strong parts lie in the kür to music. The now seventeen-year-old Gribaldi son (out of Ilarichta keur pref by Dageraad, breeder J.J.H. Spronck from Berg en Terblijt) got almost 84 percent which was also a personal record for this combination.
Proud of Unee BB
"I am so incredibly proud of Unee BB. It is our first World Cup final and also the first time we are on the podium. He tried his heart out for me", the German rider explains.
Cennin best Dutch result
We see the best Dutch result in the sixth position. The Vivaldi son Cennin (out of Vitana V. elite sport dres by Donnerhall, breeder: J.E.J. Cuppen from Someren) exceeded the 80% limit ridden by Madeleine Witte-Vrees. The KWPN-recognized stallion looked fit and went easily through his test. With 81.33 percent, the difference with the fifth place was only minimal.
Blue Hors Zack, who is also KWPN-recognized, came in seventh place. The former champion of the KWPN Stallion Show received, ridden by Danish rider Daniel Bachmann Andersen, 80.53 percent and thus the Rousseau-son (out of Orona ster pref prest IBOP-dres by Jazz, breeder B. Wilschut from Bosschenhoofd) stayed in front of his Danish registered, but also KWPN-recognized son Glock's Zonik NOP (out of Romanik by Blue Hors Romanov, breeder Linette Jaeger from Denmark).
Ridden by Edward Gal, the KWPN approved stallion came to 79.65 percent. "It felt better, but not yet like Glock's Zonik N.O.P. can be", explains the rider. “The extentions and the half-passes were highlights. I am not satisfied yet, but he is still young. We will now be working towards trials for the WEG. "
