Beautiful sport in second leg Blom Stallion Competition Jumping
Yesterday, the second leg of the Blom Stallion Competition for jumpers was held. Haynes GH and Ipsthar were able to convince. Eleven four-year-old KWPN stallions went double clear.
The first victory of the day was claimed by the Carambole-son Haynes GH with Steven Veldhuis. The stallion of Jan Greve, Willem Greve and Arie Hoogendoorn showed his cooperative character and carefulness in the jump-off. Haynes GH (Carambole from Stakkonita Z from Stakkato, breeder: Jan Greve from Haaksbergen) has not yet made so many miles but is doing a great job, says his rider. "Haynes GH has a lot of athletic ability, a good canter, a quick foreleg and he is careful. He is naturally a little sensitive and that sometimes sits In the way at this moment, but will be of benefit in the future. Today he showed again that he can be very fast, "says Steven Veldhuis. "Two months ago I wouldn’t have thought that I could already win with him in the stallion competition. Our goal is just to make some nice rounds. But if that brings us victory, that’s great of course! ", The rider laughs. "It is characteristic of him that he has developed so quickly."
In second place finished the KWPN-approved stallion Herakles (Catoki from La Costa by Landor S, breeder A. Brüggehagen) ridden by Kimberley Winsingh, just in front of Hero Blue (Douglas out of Blue Girl keur IBOP-spr of Indoctro, b./reg. Waaijstud from Eemnes) under Biba McCaul. The latter was accepted for performance testing as a three year old at the KWPN and also jumped in the prizes during the first competition of this stallion competition.
Ipsthar puts things in order in class M
The KWPN approved stallion Ipsthar won with Bas Moerings the competitive M class of the Blom Stallion Competition. No less than sixteen combinations competed against each other in the jump off. Eleven of them could once again put in a clear round and Bas Moerings did so in the fastest time with the KWPN approved stallion Ipsthar (Denzel van 't Meulenhof out of Vestha stb prest of Farmer, breeder Jan Moerings of Oud-Gastel) from family Moerings from Roosendaal. "Ipsthar has a great attitude and can and will jump everything", Bas said earlier about the stallion with which he won the L class of last year’s Stallion Competition and this summer’s Blom Cup. For a long time, the time of Doron Kuipers with the Cardento-son Ingar Endy VDE (out of Endy elite EPTM-spr PROK from Diarado) from the breeder Arie van der Ent, seemed to be the winning one. This stallion was accepted for performance testing by KWPN as a three-year-old. Yet, Moerings could just get in front of him with Ipsthar.
Jur Vrieling was also successful in this class with several stallions. He finished in third place with a double clear riding the KWPN approved stallion Inaico VDL (Indoctro out of Beach Quella by Baloubet du Rouet, breeder J. Aegten) and fifth with the KWPN approved stallion Impressive VDL (Douglas out of Atendri ster pref prest by Contender, b. /reg. VDL Stud).
Eleven KWPN approved stallions double clear in L class
The young stallions in the L class of the Blom Stallion Competition formed the final chapter of a beautiful jumping evening in Ermelo. Eleven KWPN approved stallions realized the double clear. For example, Jukebox (Padock du Plessis from Bola elite IBOP-spr pref PROK from Vainqueur, b./reg. Jan van Kooten and Reinie Tewis) and Joint Venture (Cosun from Fola elite PROK from Quintero, b/reg. Jan van Kooten) both turned positive under their new rider Laurens Houben. The two stallions, bred out of the same family, are both registered with Jos Lansink. The change of rider worked out very well in Ermelo, where they have showed their good rideability. Jenkins (Charisma out of Aurante DD ster EPTM-spr pref PROK by Cantos, breeder: C.G. Vernooij) also jumped double clear and gave a good impression with Rob Heijligers. Under the saddle of Bart Bles, the Verdi-son Jumper Verdi (out of Votti Lottie ster pref perst by Fuego du Prelet, breeder André Weernink) showed his positive development, while Jay Star (Big Star out of Earl Gray elite IBOP-spr sport-jump PROK from Cardento, f / g Alexandra van der Peijl) under Guido Schoemaker again left no doubt about his power and ability.
Other double clears
With a good use of the body, the easy to ride Jacquet-Go (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve out of Trophie Tinea Go keur sport-jump prest from Lux) from breeder Harrie van de Goor jumped to the double clear under Jarno van Erp. The easily cantering Je Suis Equus Tame (Qlassic Bois Margot from Tame Tame by Quaprice Z, breeder S.N.C. Brohier) showed his qualities in a very natural way under Steven Veldhuis and the Action Breaker-son Jack Daniels E.B. (out of Unforgettable by Quite Easy I, breeder: G. A. ter Borg) was very good in the course under Vincent Geerink. Jubel ES (Harley VDL out of Maxime O keur prest by Lauriston) from breeder Egbert Schep also shook two beautiful rounds out of his sleeve under Bart Bles, and that result was also produced by the jumper Johnnie Walker VDL. Zapatero VDL from Elia elite EPTM-spr d-oc from Mermus R, breeder Henk Kroeze) with Jur Vrieling. Light-footedness and good riding qualities also characterized the flawless rounds of Justice HL (Harley VDL from Noblesse Oblige elite pref prest PROK by Epilot, breeder Corry Dolstra) under Caroline Müller.
