Leontine ter Harmsel – Zanderink new member General Board
After the first groups of jumper horses, the new member of the General Board was introduced. Leontine ter Harmsel – Zankerink is taking a position in the board, making the board complete again.
Leontine ter Harmsel – Zanderink comes from the town of Enter, where she runs a veterinary clinic and breeding station with her husband. She has a large network within the horse industry and is closely involved in both sports and breeding. She is experienced in the field of reproduction of both dressage and jumper horses and the related reproduction technologies. The brand-new board member introduced herself in a video. “At our clinic we focus for 80% on horses, our main activities are reproduction and gynecology with all modern techniques. In addition, we perform a lot of sale examinations and we manage a number of sport horses.”
The love for the KWPN-horse was an essential part Leontine’s upbringing. “I pretty much grew up with the KWPN. My parents and in-laws are breeders, and we breed approximately twenty foals each year ourselves. I am therefore happy that I was granted this function and I hope to make a contribution thanks to my knowledge, practical experience and many contacts with breeders, dealers and riders. The General Board is a flexible, open board with members who communicate well, and together form a lovely group to work with. From me, the KWPN may expect dedication, delivering on commitments, good communication and short lines in our contact. The KWPN and the General Board are approachable, and I definitely want to help strengthen to that. Breeders can talk to me about everything, right beside the veterinary box.
