The stallion committee jumping recently assembled and decided to nominate five interesting stallions for KWPN recognition. This has now been formalized by the General Board. It concerns five stallions that have proved themselves in sports, two of which even participated in the European Championships.  
 
Aristoteles V (Padinus x Lux) 
Aristoteles V was appointed to the performance test as a three-year-old and got invited to the championships round at the KWPN Stallion Show. At a young age this horse, bred by Sjraar Vullers, was sold to America, where he was highly successful with Jonathan McCrea. This combination was active at the highest level for years, winning the 2018 Grands Prix of Saugerties and Bromont and placing 6th in the Grand Prix of Ocala. In 2016, they positioned 4thin the Grand Prix of Lexington and the year before 2nd, 3rd and 4th in Tryon.  
His sire Padinus, son of the top progenitor Heartbreaker, has had a high KWPN breeding value for years. Out of a relatively small number of offspring, Padinus produced multiple superb Grand Prix-children such as Admara. His dam Tableau-Vivant is an elite prestatie mare of the stallion Lux. Lux was successful at the highest level in sports and many of his offspring followed in his footsteps. Tableau-Vivant also produced the 1.50-showjumper Fjury V (by Numero Uno) of Michel Hendrix. Further along the lineage we find the preferent stallion Farn and the thoroughbred Xebec.  
 
Aristoteles meets the KWPN radiographic requirements. The genome breeding value and conformation inspection were ensued by no remarks. The genome breeding value is 101 (43% reliability) and he is no carrier of WFFS. Fresh semen of Aristoteles V is available via Enterbrook Stud in Enter.  
 
Chaplin (Verdi x Concorde) 
The 14-year-old KWPN-bred Chaplin (studbook name Cerberus W, bred by G. Knoop from Slootdorp) is active at the highest level with Martin Fuchs. The pair won the Grands Prix of Madrid and Estoril in 2019 and in 2017 they were victorious in the GP of Mexico City and Zürich. He alo participated in the Swiss team that won the Nations Cup of Samorin and placed second in the 1.60m class of Hamburg, followed by a third place in the Longines Global Championships Tour GP. Chaplin’s dam Jalitha B elite prest sport-spr jumped 1.35m herself and produced more showjumpers, among them the 1.40m-horse Ernie (by Carambole), the international 1.30m-horse Geraltha W (by Ultimo) and a 1.35m Burggraaf-offspring. Granddam Caltha B ster prest (by Nimmerdor) is also the dam to the international showjumper Twilight Zeldenrust (by Corland) of Patrick van der Schans and additionally produced five 1.30/1.35m-horses. She is also the granddam of the Grand Prix-horse Picolien Zeldenrust and the international showjumpers Personality-Zeldenrust, Ferrarie-Zeldenrust and Adoctro-Zeldenrust, all offspring of Indoctro. Chaplin’s sire Verdi no longer needs an introduction. For a decade, he was active at the highest level with Maikel van der Vleuten   
Calling his career successful is an understatement: two times he competed at the Olympic Games, resulting in a silver team medal in London, the golden team medal at the World Equestrian Games of Caen and the European Championships in Aachen as well as numerous top placements in various Nations Cups and other championships.

Cayetano Z (Caretano Z x Cor de la Bryère) 
The genetic gem Cayetano Z can reflect on a great sports career. The now 17-year-old stallion retired last year, after being successful at the highest level with Julia Houtzager-Kayser for years. To name a few of their successes: second in the Grand Prix of Geesteren, third in the 2017 Grand Prix of Donaueschingen, fourth in the Grand Prixs of Knokke, Outdoor Gelderland and Drachten. In 2017 Julia and Caretano Z competed at the European Championships of Gothenburg. Another accomplishment is the 0/4 result in the FEI Nations Cup Final in Barcelona. At seven years of age, the sire Caretano Z claimed the world title at the World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken with Jos Lanskin. After that he had a fruitful career up till 1.60m level. Dam Calipa Z produced, in addition to Cayetano, three other 1.60m-horses and a number of international showjumpers. The dam of Calipa Z is the two-fold Olympic Champion Ratina Z. This top mare also produced the approved stallions Rex Z, Crown Z, Treasure Z and Comme il Faut. The latter has a made a name for himself with Marcus Ehning.

Cayetano Z has a genome breeding value of 101 (40% reliability) and he is no carrier of the WFFS-gene. Fresh and frozen semen of the stallion is available via Holstud in Lunteren.  
 
Vancouver de Lanlore (Toulon x Le Tot de Semilly) 
The in 2009 born SF-bred Vancouver de Lanlore is flourishing at the highest level with Penelope Leprevost. They won the Grand Prix of Vejer de la Frontera and München-Riem, placed second in the Grand Prix of Helsinki, second in the Grand Prix of Offenburg, second in the Grand Prix of Dinard, second in the Global Tour in Chantilly, third in the Grand Prix of St Tropez, fourth in the Grand Prix of Gorla Minore, fourth in the Grand Prix St Gallen and sixth in the Grand Prix of Paris. He was also successful in the Nations Cup, producing two double-clears in Aachen and St/. Gallen and a clear in Barcelona, the European Championships of Rotterdam and La Baule. He also placed 15th individually at the European Championships of Rotterdam. Sire Toulon, son of the top progenitor Heartbreaker, jumped at the highest level himself and has been high up the WBFSH sire rankings for years. Dam Hispania de Bacon jumped 1.30m herself and is the daughter of the Grand Prix-stallion Le Tot de Semilly. The latter is the sire of top stallion Diamant de Semilly. Paired with Toulon, a half-sister of Hispania de Bacon produced the international showjumpers Goodwill v/d Coefering and Noortje van de Coefering.

Vancouver de Lanlore has a genome breeding value of 99 (40% reliability) and he is no carrier of the WFFS-gene. Frozen semen of is available via the Van Bommel Stud in Aarle-Rixtel.  
 
Cinsey (Contendro I x For Pleasure) 
The KWPN-recognized Contendro I is the sire of Cinsey. Contendro I has become one of the world’s best showjumper producers and the KWPN already approved four of his sons and two grandsons. The dam of Cinsey is a daughter of the Grand Prix-stallion For Pleasure. This son of Furioso II won Olympic gold with the German team twice. For years, he is at the top of the WBFSH-sire rankings. Cinsey’s dam Francesca V also produced a 1.40m-horse by Earl and a 1.30m showjumper by Graf Grannus.  
The 14-year-old Cinsey has been active at the highest level of showjumping for several years now, ridden by Athina Onassis, Edwina Tops-Alexander and the Italian Alberto Zorzi. In the meanwhile, Cinsey produced two approved sons and his oldest offspring are now jumping the 1.30m/1.35 courses.
