The first outdoor training of the Gelder stallions
Three Gelder stallions are staying at the KWPN Centre for the performance test. An important part of this is that the stallions, because of their versatile breeding purpose, are ridden outside to test their character and their mentality.
Yesterday, the stallions were ridden outside for the first time. The four-year-old Eebert son Matiz was ridden in harness by training leader Henk Hammers. The three-year-old Newman, a son of Elton from the same dam as the previously approved Henkie, was ridden by Anouk Slabbers, and the four-year-old Alexandro P son McKenzy JHL, who started the test this Monday, was ridden by Sjoerd Zaadnoordijk. The stallions were ridden on the cross-country track of the Dutch Equestrian Centre. Through the water, over the bridge and under the bridge, none of them showed any problems. To give everyone an impression, a compilation has been made. Next week the stallion selection committee will meet to evaluate the stallions. Because of the Corona measures, public is not allowed.
