This Saturday is the Harness Horse Stallion Show of 2021. The entire day, including the first and second viewing, can be followed via the livestream at kwpn.org. It promises to be a beautiful day with interesting conversations in the studio and the presentation of Harness Horse of the Year and Breeder of the Year.
First, we look back at the year 2020. During the autumn examination, three stallions were registered with excellent results. Three three-year-old high-quality harness horse stallions were registered, two chestnuts and one grey. The stallion Macho managed to get the highest score ever. Macho is a son of Indiana, who is no longer available for breeding, and is out of Emone, a ster daughter of Unieko. This is the damlinewith which harness horse breeder Lammert Hollander from Gieten was very successful with. Macho scored six times a 9.5 and twice a 9. Klaas Buist from Nuis and Harold Dekker from Oosterwolde presented the stallion at the inspection but after the inspection Macho was sold to William Duffy from Ashby, USA . The stallion is available for breeding at Gebr. van Manen in Ede. The stallion was also presented by Robbie van Dijk recently at the film day in Ermelo.
The grey horse Magnifiek, a son of Idol out of Helise keur by Atleet owned by Lambertus Huckriede from Enschede, also managed to get a nice results. One 9, five times an 8.5, one 8 and a 7.5. Magnifiek is bred by Henri Kruidhof from Rouveen. Lambertus Huckriede offers the grey stallion for breeding. This stallion was also presented recently at the film day.
The third stallion that was registered is Maximiano I&S. He is a son of the thoroughbred Hackney Baarzens Jagerszoon and is out of Belinda ster(s.Plain's Liberator), also a thoroughbred Hackney. His results list consisted of once an 8.5, six times an 8 and once a 7.5. Breeder and registered rider is Stefan Rozendaal from Putten and he was also the rider on the film day.
These stallions, as well as several older stallions who were also present at the film day, will be shown in a number of show categories on Saturday, May 8th, during the online Harness Horse Stallion Show. The next KWPN Magazine will also pay more attention to these stallions with commentary from stallion selection committee chairman Henk Rootveld and inspector Viggon van Beest.
