Two Gelder stallions approved
After an Stallion Performance test of 28 days, two Gelder stallions could be added to the stallion database today. The stallion Matiz (by Eebert) did his performance test in harness while the owners of the stallion McKenzy JHL (by Alexandro P) opted for a performance test under saddle. McKenzy JHL even got nines for his canter and attitude.
A total of three Gelder stallions started the test, two of which earned their approval today. The stallion inspection committee, consisting of chairman Marloes van der Velden, Jan Pen and Arie Hamoen, assisted by inspector Wim Versteeg, is satisfied with this result.
“Today we were able to register two very well-developed Gelder stallions, each with their own qualities. Both approved stallions come from mares who took part at the National Mare Championships. The Eebert son Matiz can add an addition to the Gelder stallion stock, especially for the enthusiasts of the harnessed horses. McKenzy JHL may have a future in the dressage direction, especially due to his posture, front and technique in movement, although he also jumps fairly well. Even at this presentation, both stallions have been extensively tested outdoors in the field and their work ethic and character is striking”, says inspector Wim Versteeg.
The approved Gelder stallions are:
Matiz (Eebert out of Honey ster PROK by Vitens, breeder G.H. Hofs from Varsseveld) from R. Lammers
McKenzy JHL (Alexandro P out of Happines elite IBOP PROK by WV Saron, breeder L. Roerdink from Groenlo) from Heuvelman / Leduc and P.P.L.C. Jansen
The final presentation, at which, due to the corona measures, no public other than the breeders and registered parties was present, was broadcast live via KWPN.tv.
Later this week you will find the video footage of the approved stallions on KWPN.tv.
The reports of the approved Gelder stallions can soon be found in the KWPN database.
