National Harness Horse Day moved to August 14th
Recently, we announced that the National Harness Horses Day would take place on Saturday, August 7th. On this day, Concours Hippique Rijs also celebrates their 75th anniversary. To prevent that the fans of harness horses have to make a choice, it has been decided to postpone the National Harness Horse Day, the biggest harness horse event of the year, to August 14th.
The National Harness Horse Day is the final of the mare inspection season. The very best two- and three-year-old, keur and elite mares are represented at the National Harness Horse Day. Other highlights are normally the driving events for mares, the KWPN Championships for harness horses ridden by juniors, the battle between the approved stallions for the Manno Trophy, the awards for Harness Horse Breeder of the Year and Harness Horse of the Year, and ultimately the National Finals, in which the title of Top Sport Mare of the Year will be announced and wins the Greet Bergstra Cup.
Of course, the entire programme for the coming edition is dependent on the restrictions surrounding the coronavirus. We will keep you informed of the developments via our website!
