From the 22nd until the 26th of September, the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses takes place in Lanaken. The best five-, six- and seven-year-old jumper horses are battling for the world titles. During these championships, breeder premiums are awarded to the breeders of KWPN-registered horses on behalf of the Friends of the KWPN.

Many countries are represented by KWPN-horses. This Jumping World Breeding Championships for Young Horses, Friends of the KWPN award breeder premiums to the breeders of KWPN-horses that place in the top-three of each age category.

The first leg of the championships for 5-,6- and 7-year-old horses starts on Tursday September 23. On Sunday, the finals are ridden. To award these breeder premiums, the breeders of the medal winning KWPN-horses are contacted after the World Championships.
