SC De Meern: four four-year-olds double clear in L-class
The L-class in De Meern was composed of two rounds. For quite some time, Mr. Cornet de Regor (s.Cornet Obolensky) remained the only double clear stallion, until it was time for Mindset ES (s.Aganix du Seigneur). Finally, Matrix VDL (s.Matisse) and Ansingh de Liz Z (s.Aganix du Seigneur) also performed exclusively clear rounds.
In the first leg, seven four-year-olds made no errors, five of which are KWPN-stallions. In the second round, ten stallions crossed the finish lines with 0 faults on the board, among them nine KWPN-stallions. In the end, only four stallions performed a double clear, three of which are KWPN approved.
Mr. Cornet de Regor and Mindset ES
The first stallion that obtained the prestigious double clear result was the KWPN-approved Mr. Cornet de Regor (Cornet Obolensky out of Ohaj de Regor by Kannan, bred and owned by W. van de Plasse of Kruiningen and co-registered to Brinkman Stables in Twello). His rider Marco Brinkman steered the stallion through two nice rounds. The by Jarno van Erp presented Mindset ES (Aganix du Seigneur out of Hosanne ES keur sport-spr by Kannan, bred and owned by E. Schep of Tull and ‘t Waal) also obtained two zero-penalties results today. In the second round, the Aganix du Seigneur-son still seemed fresh and fit.
Matrix VDL and Ansingh de Liz Z
Matrix VDL (Matisse de Mariposa out of Butterfly Z by Bamako de Muze, bred by K. van Weesenbeeck and J. Segers of Loenhout and registered to VDL Stud in Bears) was the third stallion to perform two impressive clear rounds. The last double clear stallion was Ansingh de Liz Z (s.Aganix du Seigneur). His rider Bart van der Maat presented no less than four stallions in this age category. Bart incurred an unfortunate time penalty aboard Mister Hornet DDH (Cornet Obolensky out of Arnacquine du Mesnil by Quarnac du Mesnil, bred by Jean-Luc Lebourgeois and registered to De Havikerwaard Stud in De Steeg) in the first round, otherwise he would have had two horses with a double clear result.
The next and last leg for both the dressage and jumping stallion competition is ridden in Exloo on January 4th.
