The L-class was ridden over two rounds. All stallions that remained clear would place first ex aequo, nine KWPN stallions obtained this position. 

Mister Hornet DDH (Cornet Obolensky out of Arnacquine du Mesnil by Quarnac du Mesnil, bred by M. Jean-Luc Lebourgeois of La Lucerne D Outremer and registered to Havikerwaard in De Steeg) was the first that obtained a double clear result with rider Bart van der Maat. Lennard de Boer performed two flawless rounds aboard KWPN stallion McAllister VDL (Inaico VDL out of Zoklahoma VDL ster keur pref prest by Emilion, bred by and registered to VDL Stud in Bears). Menno H (Stakkato Gold out of Toy H ster pref sport-spr by Baloubet du Rouet, bred by and registered to P.H. van Hees of Uden) was successfully guided through the two courses by Joep van der Kampen. Elisa Brouwers also crossed the finish line twice without any penalties aboard Matrix VDL (Matisse de Mariposa out of Butterfly Z by Bamako de Muze, bred by K. van Weesenbeeck and J. Segers of Loenhout and registered to VDL Stud in Bears). 
Maestro Gusto v/d Laarse Heide

Each double clear obtained a shared first place. Maestro Gusto v/d Laarse Heide (Comme Il Faut out of Bella Donna vd Laarse Heide Z keur sport-spr by Bustique, bred by and registered to C. Zandbergen of Zundert) and Nikita Cheung topped this off by stopping the clock in the fastest time in both rounds. Mees van de Watermolen (Vannan out of Holinda ster keur by Carambole, bred by and registered to J.W. Greve of Haaksbergen) forms since recently a combination with Noor Kuilboer, they also performed a double clear. 

Christel Kalf double clear on two KWPN stallions

Christel Kalf performed two error-free rounds on both Maximus VDL (Zirocco Blue VDL out of Daloma elite IBOP-spr sport-spr PROK by Verdi, bred by and co-registered to H.W.J. Grol of Muntendam and co-registered to VDL Stud of Bears) and Mans (Comme Il Faut out of Quitania of Quidam’s Rubin, bred by G. Schulte of Halle and registered to H.A.J. Seiger of Harbrinkhoek). The KWPN stallion Mindset ES (Aganix du Seigneur out of Hosanne ES keur pre sport-spr by Kannan, bred by and registered to E. Schep of Tull en t Waal) remained double clear with Jarno van Erp. 

The final of the stallion competition takes place during the KWPN Stallion Show (2-5 February) in Ermelo.
