Shortly, the KWPN Harness stallion Hubert VDM (s.Cizandro) of Lambertus Huckriede leaves for North Carolina. He is sold to Andrew Pearman of Pearman Ranch. Hubert VDM heads the breeding value ranking of stallions that do not have any progeny in sport yet and it based on their own achievements. Hubert VDM obtained 195 winning points.
The in 2012 born Hubert VDM is a son of Cizandro out of Veldine keur pref prest by Manno and is bred by Piet Lelieveld of Leidschendam. Jaap van der Meulen presented Hubert VDM at the KWPN stallion inspection and after several retests, Hubert was registered in the studbook in 2018. Lambertus Huckriede bought the stallion from Jaap and in his hands, Hubert developed into a great competition horse. Prior to his approval, Hubert was crowned champion in the 4-year-old division and was the unbeaten winner of the national competition. He then was announced champion in the lady class single horse driving and champion of the sires. Additionally, Hubert won the Oregon Trophy, the Grand Prix of Luttenberg and the Cambridge Cole Trophy. Hubert was also standing at stud at Lambertus Huckriede. In 2020, Hubert VDM was sustained for breeding based on the shown foals.
Lambertus says he lets the stallion go with a heavy heart. “I have a special bond with Humbertus, it already started at his approval. I have always had faith in Hubert and Jaap van der Meulen gave me the opportunity to get Hubert to where he is now. His new owner has never been here. He follows me and our harness horse breeding and sport on the internet. The contact has been there longer. And then you must make a choice. He is ten years old and I decided to let him go. I still have some frozen semen of him available, so he can still serve breeding.”
