O’Bailey van het Brouwershof recognized
The stallion selection committee jumping nominated the jumper stallion O’Bailey van het Brouwershof for recognition. The General Board has formalized this recommendation.
Sire Darco jumped at Grand Prix-level for years with Ludo Philippaerts. On multiple occasions they successfully participated in major championships and Olympic Games. They placed 5th in the World Cup of Paris, 7th at the Olympic Games of Barcelona, 6th at the World Championships of Stockholm and 3rd in the Grand Prix of Rotterdam.
By now, the influence of Darco on international jumper breeding has proved to be of immense value. Many international showjumpers boast his blood in their pedigree. The dam of O’Bailey van het Brouwershof is a daughter of the Concept-son Contact van de Heffinck. Contact van de Heffinck jumped 1.60m himself and has produced multiple offspring that perform at the highest level in sport.
Granddam Eline (s.Chatman) is also the dam of the 1.55m showjumper L’Espoirt d’Opaline vd Caatshoeve. Her dam, the mare Topaline D99 jumped 1.50m and is the dam of several international jumper horses, such as Maestro de Brandegem. Topaline is the sister of the twofold Olympic champion Jus de Pomme and the 1.60m jumpers Shogoun II, Quintus, Richebourg and Tresor d’Opaline.
O’Bailey van het Brouwershof was previously successful with Eric Jr. And is now successfully campaigned in the young horse divisions by Maikel van der Vleuten.
He fulfills the requirements set for recognition based on sport achievements, as he is placed at 1.45m level at 8 years of age already (inter alia, 2nd in the Grand Prix of Deurne). The stallion is available for breeding via Stud Van den Oetelaar.
