Just Wimphof swings harmoniously to win in VHO Trophy
Eight dressage stallions performed a Small Tour Freestyle to Music to contend for the VHO Trophy powered by V2 Facility – National Championships Dressage. Crowds had flocked to the Brabanthallen to witness the beautiful dressage tests. The best freestyle of the night came from the combination Renate van Uytert-van Vliet and Just Wimphof, that obtained 78,125%.
Renate van Uytert-van Vliet and Just Wimphof (De Niro out of Rastede elite pref prest IBOP-dres sport-dres PROK by Riccione, breeder Carla Rienks-Kramer of De Wilgen) took the win in Amsterdam last week only to repeat the feat today. Their freestyle to music was a pure display of harmony. “These two work so well together, truly a team”, Monique Peutz enthuses afterwards. “The freestyle was light-footed and exuded harmony and ease. It was lovely to watch and we truly enjoyed it.”
Crowd-pleaser
After each test, the crowds cheered for their favourites. Andries van Daalen measured the number of decibles that were generated by the brimming grandstands. Davino V.O.D.-son Incognito (out of Dolce Vita Vrouwe stb-ext pref by Vivaldi, breeder Marianne Hendriksen – de Rijk of Lunteren) ridden by Hans Peter Minderhoud proved to be the ultimate crowd-pleaser. The combination obtained 77,625% and a second place. Brecht d’Hoore completed the top three aboard Inverness (Everdale out of Cyraniek elite PROK by Johnson, bred Y.M.M. van Maasacker of Cuijk) with 76,500%.
