It has been three years since the first edition of the KWPN Online Broodmare & Embryo Auction opened. Many breeders offered their pregnant broodmare for sale and in response, many potential breeders registered for bidding at the auction website. Six fruitful editions later, the breeding successes of the KWPN Online Broodmare & Embryo Auction do not go by unnoticed. By now, the first offspring out of the mares sold in the first edition in 2020, have found their way to the inspections and auctions. One of them is Diamant PC Z (s.Dominator), that live up to the expectations at the KWPN Stallion Show earlier this month.

It is not the only success story that the KWPN Online Broodmare & Embryo Auction has yielded. The top selling dressage mare that year, Incella (s.Andretti), is earning her stripes in breeding. Her rising three-year-old offspring of Geniaal is not the last from her lineage. Last year, Incella gave birth to another colt. 

Continue the legacy

Besides Incella (s.Andretti), family Kramer’s breeding programme is also continued thanks to the KWPN Online Breeding. In 2020, the mare De Meta (s.Lord Z) was sold to a buyer from Hungary. It is not rare that foreigner profit from the established Dutch lineages. In this case, the mare remained on Dutch soil after the sale. Early 2020 she was sold in foal to Chaccoon Blue, not too long after a correct and beautiful bay colt was born. The subsequent years, the mare was again paired to Cornet Obolenksy and Kannan Jr. It once again proves that the KWPN auction offers opportunities for both Dutch and global breeding.  

More Chacco Blue-luck

Each year, the auction collection is completed with a few genetically interesting embryos. Last years, multiple embryos were sold online. The embryo sale of 2022 also proved to be prolific. Out of the embryo by Chacco Blue x Mylord Carthago a healthy and beautiful filly was born, currently in rearing at her buyer. The buyer of the embryo by Comme Il Faut x Darco is also happy with his purchase: “To my delight it was a filly, chestnut with four white feet. She is a yearling now and was named Wisenya DoMM. A fitting name, as she is a feisty and lively foal with a beautiful canter and effortless lead changes. One who knows what she wants and learns quickly.”
