SC Kronenberg: Odeer claims victory with great engagement
This evening, the KWPN Stallion Competition for Gelder Horses kicked off with the first competition at Peelbergen Equestrian Centre in Kronenberg. Atze-son Odeer, together with Henk Hammers, opened the event and secured the first victory of the evening with a score of 79 points.
Stallions in the Gelder Horse breeding direction can choose between a driven test and an under-saddle dressage test. Odeer (Atze out of Zeronica elite sport PROK-dressage PROK by Talos, bred by Anouk Noordman from Zuidwolde) performed a driven test in the M class. The son of two Grand Prix dressage horses stood out with his high-quality trot and canter, scoring 8.5 for both. For overall impression, the talented stallion received a score of 8.0.
Lots of expression
Jan Pen judged this KWPN Stallion Competition for Gelder Horses, assisted by Etiënne Raeven. “We thoroughly enjoyed this performance by a functional horse with lots of expression,” said Jan Pen. “In walk, this stallion could step under more actively with his hind leg, covering more ground as a result. The trot impressed us with its fine push-off, great lightness, good collection, and active use of the hindquarters. However, he could show more bend in the corners. In canter, we were once again charmed by his balance and engagement.”
