Complete Pina Colada honored as the winner of the Stallion Competition L-Class
The Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition L-Class was won by the Governor son Pina Colada. The competition was already decided in the preliminaries, in which the stallion won two rounds under Bart Veeze. Tonight in Den Bosch, he was presented and honored.
All stallions from the 2020 generation that participated in the Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition L-Class presented themselves to the audience in Den Bosch tonight. They were introduced by Alex van Silfhout. Unlike the M and Z classes, the results of the L-class are determined in the preliminaries. As a result, the young stallions do not perform a test in the impressive Brabanthallen but only a presentation.
Complete horse
Pina Colada (Governor out of Cinola M elite pref IBOP-dres D-OC by Dayano, breeder J. Mol from Diepenheim) achieved a total score of 257.4 points, with a highlight score of 87.4 in Groningen. “This is a horse with a lot of balance and scope,” explained Alex van Silfhout. “He always remains nicely uphill and stays very steady in the contact. His canter has a lot of jump, and we can already see him engaging his hind leg well in the downward transitions. This horse also has a very good walk with plenty of scope and body use.”
Top three
Under Zandra Birkeland, the Kjento son Pjethro (Kjento out of Jaomie elite IBOP-dres D-OC by Desperado, breeder A.J. Beerens from De Moer) secured the reserve title with 256.2 points. “This horse moves with great ease, he is very complete and has an excellent work ethic.” The third place also went to a stallion presented by Bart Veeze. Pride (Secret out of Idol elite pref IBOP-dres D-OC by Apache, breeder Eef ten Bosch from Driel) scored 253.2 points and stands out for his suppleness and reach. “This horse trots with great confidence and doesn’t look at anything, which is a very positive trait for the future.”
