Under the leadership of World Championship bronze medalist Massimo with Hans Peter Minderhoud, the World Championship horses from last summer put on a spectacular performance during the KWPN Stallion Show. The M generation had already presented strongly in Ermelo this summer and demonstrated tonight that they also possess significant Grand Prix potential. Totilas blood was prominently represented in this show.

Mauricio (Total U.S. out of Balalei KA elite pref prest IBOP-dres PROK by Florencio, breeder H.G. Broekhuizen from Werkhoven) and Hexagon’s Mr. Magnum (Expression out of Grialita O elite pref IBOP-dres PROK D-OC by Valdez, breeder A.D. ter Haar from Rijssen) kicked off the show under Michael Ruijgrok and Thamar Zweistra. Both horses possess a remarkable uphill tendency. Under Thamar Zweistra, Mr. Magnum has already developed significantly and showed great aptitude for the more advanced work. Mauricio also moved through the arena with tremendous expression.

Third and fourth place
Bronze medalist GLOCK’s Massimo made a strong impression tonight, along with the fourth-place finisher at the World Championships: the KWPN stallion Mauro Turfhorst (Zonik out of Hidaylia ster by Negro, breeder J.W. Greve from Haaksbergen). These two stallions have also made excellent progress since last summer. Massimo danced through the arena in passage under Hans Peter Minderhoud, stepping well underneath himself. The two-tempis and one-tempis posed no challenge. Mauro Turfhorst and Dinja van Liere displayed great balance in their well-established piaffe and passage work, with the stallion moving happily through the ring with his ears pricked forward.

Impressive performance
World Championship finalist Majestic Taonga (GLOCK’s Toto Jr. out of Jamsession Taonga elite pref IBOP-dres sport-dres PROK by Jazz, breeder Stal 104 BV from Wijdewormer) also moved through the arena with a lot of swing and reach under Lisa Wetnitzing. The stable rider for Isabell Werth presented the stallion very sympathetically. Danielle Heijkoop and her powerhouse Mac Toto USB (GLOCK’s Toto Jr. out of Turjazzila keur pres prest sport-dres by Jazz, breeder G. van de Laar from Vorstenbosch) also delivered an impressive performance. The Toto Jr. son was slightly tense but clearly demonstrated his talent for collected work.

At the end, all the horses gathered in the arena, where the key players from last year’s World Championships for young horses delivered a spectacular grand finale together.
