United, Bordeaux and Sons
In the first show block, the top sires Bordeaux and his father United entered the arena in hand. Four sons of Bordeaux demonstrated their aptitude for advanced work under their riders: Johnny Depp (Bordeaux out of Wiana pref prest ster voorl.keur by Jazz, breeder J.A. and B. Naber) ridden by Renate van Uytert-van Vliet, Merlot VDL (Bordeaux out of Hyacynth-Vrouwe PROK ster voorl.keur by Florencio I, breeder Klinkhamer family) ridden by Femke de Laat, Livius (Bordeaux out of Blueberry Utopia elite IBOP-dres PROK sport-dres by Vivaldi, breeder R. van den Heuvel) ridden by Daniëlle Heijkoop, and Le Formidable (Bordeaux out of Vienna elite pref prest PROK by Ferro, breeder S. Poel) ridden by Saskia Poel.

Later, accompanied by a live singer, Nordic Blue Hors (Totilas out of Demeter B ster sport prok by Jazz, breeders J.J. Jansen and De Beukenvallei) ridden by Daniëlle Heijkoop, Las Vegas (Ferdeaux out of Dalia Delin PROK ster voorl.keur by Wynton, breeder J. Rienks-Kramer) ridden by Renate van Uytert-van Vliet, took to the arena.

Van Olst Horses: Powerhouses at Work
Van Olst Horses brought four black pearls to ’s-Hertogenbosch. The four KWPN-approved stallions made an impressive appearance under Charlotte Fry and Lara Butler. Nacho (Negro out of Benetton pref ster voorl.keur by Krack C, breeder A.C. Smolders) showed a strong presence and an excellent canter under Lara Butler. Nalegro (Painted Black out of Jalegrofleur ster pref PROK by Negro, breeders J.L. Hanse and Van Olst Horses) and Charlotte Fry showcased an impressive display of piaffe and passage.

Both riders later returned with two more powerful dark stallions from Van Olst's stables: the KWPN-approved Grand Prix stallion Nespresso (Negro out of Zwyrintha IBOP-dres keur pref prest by Tenerife VDL) ridden by Lara Butler and two-time world champion Kjento (Negro out of Zoriana elite pref prest IBOP-dres PROK by Jazz, breeder A.J. van Os) who moved through the arena with strength and a beautiful connection under Charlotte Fry.

McLaren, What Else
Reesink Stallions brought their approved stallion McLaren (by Morricone) to the Brabanthallen. Under Dinja van Liere, the stallion made an impressive appearance, accompanied by dancers, a live singer, a singer-songwriter, and fireworks. One of McLaren’s daughters also stole the show tonight: the barely four-year-old McMary, ridden by Phoebe Peters.

Reesink shared: “We have only been operating our stallion station for four years, and tonight we are showcasing McLaren, our oldest stallion. He is the star of our station and never lets us down.”

GLOCK’s Johnson TN and son Luxuriouzz
One last time, GLOCK’s Johnson TN entered the arena during the KWPN Stallion Show. In 2019, he retired from sport in Den Bosch, and this year, the bay stallion once again showed his longtime rider Hans Peter Minderhoud that he is still in top shape. The number one on the WBFSH Sire Ranking entered after a performance by his son, Hexagon’s Luxuriouzz NOPT (out of Walida van de Waalsehoeve elite IBOP-dres PROK prest by San Remo, breeder W. Plomp from Tull en ’t Waal). This chestnut stallion, under his rider Thamar Zweistra, displayed the talents he inherited from his father, excelling particularly in collected exercises.
