Two black pearls were awarded keur status tonight at the KWPN Stallion Show in ’s-Hertogenbosch: Glamourdale and GLOCK’s Toto Jr. Two stallions who both competed at the Paris Olympic Games and have also proven themselves extensively in breeding.

GLOCK’s Toto Jr. entered the arena tonight under Hans Peter Minderhoud. The son of Totilas is bred from the Hanoverian mare Desperada (by Desperados) and has competed successfully at Grand Prix level both with Edward Gal and Hans Peter Minderhoud. GLOCK’s Taminiau, his first son at Grand Prix level, also impressed under Minderhoud at the World Cup during Jumping Amsterdam.

Toto Jr. and sons
GLOCK’s Toto Jr. has sired eight KWPN-approved sons, and of the mares presented at the studbook inspections, about 80% achieved the ster predicate. Of the mares presented, 21% are preliminary keur and 36% are elite. Many of his offspring are also making their mark in sport, something that was emphasized during the show of the World Championship horses on the same evening.

Glamourdale and Charlotte Fry
A magnificent finale to the Friday evening of the KWPN Stallion Show was provided by Glamourdale, who was also awarded keur status. The stallion has long been a showcase for the Dutch sport horse: he is the reigning world champion and earned kür bronze at the Paris Olympic Games. The son of Lord Leatherdale (out of Thuja stb pref prest by Negro, bred by Joop Rodenburg from Ouderkerk aan den IJssel) was also world champion of young dressage horses when he was seven.

The stallion has multiple offspring competing at higher levels in sport, including the highly promising Kuvazs RS2 N.O.P.T. with Marieke van der Putten, Kashmir with Jessica Leijer, who competes internationally at Grand Prix, and Kyro, who is competing at the highest level in the United States. Of the mares presented at the inspection, 78% achieved the ster predicate, 20% are preliminary keur, 3% are keur, and 27% are elite. His sons Mandienio WL, Powerdale, Princedale, Ridgedale, and auction topper Rayano are approved, earning Glamourdale the keur predicate.
