21 dressage stallions selected on final day
After 14 dressage stallions were selected yesterday, the total has now reached 35. Among them are all four sons of McLaren presented and three from the leading sire, Las Vegas.
There was a strong build-up in the second round viewing today, culminating in an outstanding final group. Sons from the first crops of McLaren (4) and Next Romancier (1) were easily selected for the performance test.
Strong collection
At around 2:00 PM, all 21 selected three-year-old dressage stallions will return in-hand. Committee chairman Bart Bax will introduce the stallions and announce which ones will advance to the championship round later in the afternoon. The committee has plenty of stallions to choose from, as became clear this morning. In addition to the four sons of McLaren and three of Las Vegas, two sons of the newly crowned keur stallion Glock’s Toto Jr. and two from the first crop of My Blue Hors Santiano have also been selected for the performance test. Additionally, there are half-brothers of world champion Kjento and the KWPN-approved stallion Pride among the chosen stallions. The designated stallions impressed with their conformation and movement, and most of them also come from strong bloodlines. This promises a lot for the upcoming autumn performance test.
