Today, the interim evaluation of the five stallions participating in the performance test took place at the KNHS-Pavo arena in Ermelo. Once again, there was great public interest, with around 100 spectators present. Seating was provided around the arena, as well as hospitality facilities. All five stallions have been allowed to continue in the test for now.

On January 4, 2025, a total of 33 stallions were presented at the first viewing in Ermelo, of which twelve were selected for the second viewing. During the KWPN Stallion Show in ’s-Hertogenbosch, the stallion selection committee at that time, consisting of chairman Wim Versteeg, Thomas van der Weiden, and Bauke de Boer, together with inspector Viggon van Beest, selected six stallions to proceed to the performance test, with two of them receiving a premium. On September 9, the first trial day/re-evaluation took place with twelve stallions. The selection committee then, as today, consisted of chairman Thomas van der Weiden, Bauke de Boer, and Henk Lassche. The second trial day followed on September 18. Afterward, several stallions were withdrawn from the test by their owners in consultation with the committee. Ultimately, six stallions were admitted to start the 27-day performance test on September 29. Today, after about two weeks, the interim evaluation took place with five stallions remaining. Last Wednesday, Sam, the three-year-old son of Cizandro, was after consultation with the owner referred to the next performance test.

Smooth progress
The presentation of the five stallions, led by training coordinator Demi van Nispen, went smoothly. Over the past two weeks, the stallions have been evaluated several times, and today the committee indicated that all five may continue their performance test for the time being. The group consists of two three-year-olds, one four-year-old, and two five-year-olds.

  • Sjimmie (Macho x Lirzela stb. by Dylano, bred by P. Leeuwis De Wit), owned by HBC-Stal, Boyl.

The final presentation will take place on Saturday, October 25, starting at 1:00 p.m. at the Pavo arena. It will be followed by the Autumn IBOP in the Willem Alexander Hall at the KWPN Centre in Ermelo.
